How old do I have to be to open a Checking Acc. with Wells Fargo?

I am 16 years old and just recently got a job and need a checking account .... how does it work?|||At 16, any bank will open you a checking account, you'll most likely need you parent to be a joint signer on the account, since your not 18 yet. But BOFA is also a good bank.|||You have to be 18 to open it on your own. You will need your parents. I don't suggest Wells Fargo. They are like Bof A with their hidden fees.





I use Washington Mutual. You may find another Free Account somewhere, but good luck.
